Keith Ellison's deplorable legislative record.

I ran across this and thought you all would appreciate a glance at the kind of nut-jobbery Keith X Hakim-Ellison engaged in during his tenure at the at the MN House of Rep’s.

1. 2005-2006 Legislative Session he authored a bill that would remove the state's ability to crack down on people who are delinquent in paying child support. Not that he personally gave a shit, he drove with or without a liscense...I wonder just how many "woods colts" Keith has floating around out there.
SEE HF 1288: Driver's license suspension for nonpayment of support repealed.

2. 2005-2006 Legislative Session he authored a bill that would decriminalize making false reports of police brutality. He authored a bill that would make it easier for people to attack the police due to diminished legal consequence. I betting that the Bloods & Crips really appreciated Keith's attention to their issues.
SEE HF 2951 False information relating to police misconduct criminal provision repealed.

3. 2003-2004 Legislative Session he authored a bill that would allow alcoholic drinks to be inside a moving vehicle. I understand that he later tried to compromise by limiting the driver to just one cold '40 per trip.
SEE HF 2875 Driver's license; specified misdemeanor traffic offenses provided that do not constitute grounds for driver's license revocation or suspension.

Remember when Jesse Ventura was making his personal priorities legislative priorities (reduced tab fees for water craft, getting himself a carry permit & etc.)? This looks like a wish list for a scumbag like Keith X and the posse constituency that he served at the capitol.

The deadbeat, Lying, DWI loving crowd is going to miss him.

Finally, somebody researches the guy's actual legislative record. Thanks Swiftee! I about barfed when I read his endorsement in the Star Tribune claiming he was some kind of leader in the legislature. Don't forget the bill to lessen penalties for drug dealers and the opposition to restricting welfare recipients from buying booze and cigarettes with their checks.
